How we collect, use, and protect your data.

Last updated: February 9, 2026

Information We Collect

When you create an account on Makers Page, we collect the information you provide directly, including your name, email address, username, profile image, and bio.

If you connect a third-party service (such as Stripe, GitHub, or Twitter), we receive limited data from those services as authorized by you, such as your public profile information and, in the case of Stripe, revenue metrics for verification purposes.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember your preferences.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve Makers Page. This includes creating and managing your account, displaying your public profile and projects, verifying revenue through Stripe, and personalizing your experience.

We may use your email address to send you important updates about the service, such as changes to these policies or security notifications. We will never sell your email address to third parties.

Aggregated, anonymized data may be used to understand usage patterns and improve the platform. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Revenue & Stripe Data

When you connect your Stripe account, we access your revenue data solely to display verified revenue badges on your profile. We do not store your full Stripe credentials — we use secure OAuth tokens that can be revoked at any time.

Revenue figures displayed on your profile and the leaderboard are pulled from Stripe's API in real time or cached briefly for performance. You can disconnect Stripe at any time from your dashboard, which immediately removes all revenue data from your profile.

Data Sharing

Your public profile information (name, username, bio, projects, and verified revenue if enabled) is visible to anyone who visits your profile page or the leaderboard. This is the core purpose of the service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, email), and they are contractually required to protect your data.

We may disclose your information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, and regular security audits.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.

Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your dashboard. If you wish to delete your account entirely, contact us and we will remove all your personal data within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the site. Your continued use of Makers Page after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
